About the Book

There is a particular kind of exhaustion that no promotion cures. You have done everything right. You have read the books, attended the retreats, and led with everything you have. And still, something beneath the surface does not hold. The Covenant Code was written for that moment. Not as another framework to master, but as a mirror held up to the identity beneath the performance.

You are not broken. You are in breach.

Drawing on thirty years as a counsellor, pastor, and theologian, Colin Gunthrope introduces the Contract vs. Covenant framework: a distinction that quietly reframes everything. How you lead. How you commit. How your organisation holds together under pressure. The ten covenants in this book are not strategies to implement. They are vows to inhabit. And a vow, unlike a contract, does not just change what you do. It changes who you are.

Written in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma and forged in the crucible of Caribbean institutional life, The Covenant Code weaves neuroscience, theology, and lived experience into a leadership text unlike any other. Every person who has read it has said the same thing: it felt personal. It felt necessary. It felt like something they had been waiting for without knowing they were waiting.

The Covenant Leadership System

Written for the person. Built for the organisation.

Whether you read it in the quiet of your own becoming or carry it into the life of your organisation, The Covenant Code was written for the moment when performance is no longer enough. A companion workbook is in preparation, designed for personal reflection and team application of the Ten Covenants. Together, the book, the workbook, and the Covenant Leadership methodology form a complete architecture of transformation: a body of work built to outlast any single engagement and anchor change that endures.
